Barbara Awbery is LTA licensed and holds the Senior Club Coach qualification, covering coaching skills from mini tennis red to 10U performance to adult team players. Barbara was voted LTA Coach of the month in June 2009. Barbara continues to compete and was ranked at 8 in the country for over 50′s and has represented Wales. She was also an international hockey player and believes in hard work and discipline required to maximise a players potential.
Chris Tucker is LTA licensed and holds the LTA Senior Performance qualification as well as the USA PTR qualification. Chris loves to work with performance players and has already had great success, achieving players recognised at National and Regional level. He is currently the Head Coach at Elstead and was awarded Coach of the month by the LTA in May 2012.
Ben Cullen is LTA licensed and holds the LTA Performance qualification as well as the USA PTR and RPT European Performance qualification. Ben is passionate about tennis and makes his sessions fun. He is always positive with his players and expects a lot from them. Ben still competes in British Tour events.
Betty Maitland is LTA licensed and holds the level 3 coaching qualification as well as the USA PTR qualification. She is motivated and organised and plays a key role in administrating all our programmes. Betty is also qualified to run Cardio Tennis. Betty is currently ranked at number 1 in the country for her age group and is currently ranked 28 in the world.
Ollie Kirk is LTA licensed and holds the level 3 coaching qualification as well as the USA PTR qualification. Ollie has great interpersonal skills and is fantastic at identifying talent at a young age and nurturing that talent into the performance programme. Ollie is another of our Cardio Tennis coaches. He is also a qualified squash coach and fitness instructor.
Sam Williamson is a registered coach and is LTA level two. Sam is responsible for our 6 and under age groups. She has a wonderful rapport with the children and really understands how to relate to the players and deliver fun based appropriate programmes with real quality
